About me
I am currently a Quantitative User Experience researcher at Google. As a part of my work, I apply qualitative and quantitative methodologies to improve Google tools for business owners. Previously, I received my Ph.D. at the University of Washington in the Department of Speech & Hearing Sciences. Under the advisement of Dr. Jason Yeatman in the Brain Development & Education Lab at the Institute for Learning & Brain Sciences, my research focused on reading development, literacy, and dyslexia. My specific interest is the development of fluent reading and harnessing technology to universalize evidence-based instruction.
My dissertation is titled “Design and Implementation of Digital Aids to Empower Struggling Readers”. My defense was recorded and is available on Youtube: https://youtu.be/zU8SDJtwGQs
